Each applicant must have a high school diploma or GED. Applicants who are expected to graduate from high school before the end of the 10 week class may apply, but will not receive a certificate from Gwinnett Dental Career Academy until they have shown proof of their high school diploma or GED. The application includes biographical information, references, and a personal statement.
Applicants must submit:
- Application Form
- $50 non-refundable application fee
- Personal Statement
- Copy of high school diploma
Applicants may be asked to interview either by phone or in person. The purpose of the interview is to evaluate characteristics such as interest and attitude and to review biographical information such as academics, work experiences and career goals.
Our classes are usually completely full, we can not accept everyone who applies. It is best to apply early to secure your spot in the class. Applications accepted after the initial deadline will incur a $100 application fee.
Tuition is $3800, which includes all books and supplies. A $1000 deposit is necessary to hold a spot in the class. The remaining balance may be paid on or before the first class, or in accordance with a payment plan. There is an additional $200 fee to take advantage of our payment plan.
Because we are a private institute, we do not participate in most government financing programs (see exception below). We do offer financing through CareCredit. Please go to www.carecredit.com for more information – enter “Gwinnett Dental Career Academy” for Doctor or Practice Name. Students who are approved for CareCredit financing are not required to pay a deposit and will have the full tuition balance charged to their CareCredit account approximately 2 weeks prior to the first class session.
** We are eligible to participate in the military “MyCAA” program. If you are a military spouse please contact Cindy for more information about MyCAA funding.
Please contact us with any other questions about payment or financing. You may email us using the form on the right side of this page, or call (678) 730-0779.
